Yin and Ari have been background characters in most of the books in the Dreamers series, and now they finally get a HEA after their own in this novella.
It’s Yin and Ari’s first Christmas together in their very own apartment, and each of them wants to make sure the holiday is special for the other. But of course, best laid plans often go awry.
I can’t say anything more without giving away the plot, but I knew what was going to happen as soon as I started reading, and that only made me even more excited to see how things were going to play out.
Fans of the series will know that Yin and Ari met when Nesto hired them to work on his food truck in American Dreamer. They, like many of the characters in the series, are both immigrants. They’re from vastly different backgrounds, but they’ve found happiness together and they’re looking forward to a shared future as well.
This was such a sweet book. There’s no serious conflict—just best intentions and positive holiday messages…… and a couple of sex scenes. You know, a typical holiday romance, lol.
I would recommend American Christmas. Readers should read the other books in the Dreamers series first in order to appreciate Yin and Ari’s full character arcs over the course of several books. This novella was a nice surprise to tide me over while I wait for Herrera’s next full-length book.
I received an ARC of this book from Carina Press/NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
